Hello all,
Six days until take-off. Although fitting 5 months of my life into 2 bags is incredibly difficult, almost all of it fits. I just hope my bags aren't over the 50 lbs limit. I received an email the other day about my host family. I will be living with a Señora and her 18 year old daughter, who will be attending the same university as I but as a freshman. I am so excited about them and am hoping that we get along great and the daughter can show me the ropes! :) I actually had a dream about meeting my host family except they weren't who they were supposed to be - it turned out that they were one of my Loyola friend's family (it was really weird).
Anyways, there's not much to tell yet. Although with the recent attempted terrorist attack, I will probably have to be at the airport 6 hours in advanced and be patted down - that should be exciting. No worries; I'll be fine. Please pray for my safety as well as numerous other things such as not forgetting anything, my luggage arriving with me, and of course, not having total culture shock when I arrive in Madrid and start "speaking" Spanish.
This will definitely be an adventure. Keep you all posted.
¡Adiós!

The First of Many...
¡Hola everyone!
This is the first of many, many posting for my new blog "La Aventura Infinita" (which translate in Spanish to "The Infinite Adventure"). I have begun this blog because on January 5, 2010 I will be departing on my trip to Spain - the first leg of my adventure. I will be studying abroad in Alicante, España and will be traveling through Europe for the next few months. So I began this blog so all my friends and family could keep up with me during my travels. It's titled the infinite adventure because I plan on keeping up with this blog even after I return. In the meantime, before I leave, I'll be packing, planning, and studying up on my español. :)
