Hello all,
Six days until take-off. Although fitting 5 months of my life into 2 bags is incredibly difficult, almost all of it fits. I just hope my bags aren't over the 50 lbs limit. I received an email the other day about my host family. I will be living with a Señora and her 18 year old daughter, who will be attending the same university as I but as a freshman. I am so excited about them and am hoping that we get along great and the daughter can show me the ropes! :) I actually had a dream about meeting my host family except they weren't who they were supposed to be - it turned out that they were one of my Loyola friend's family (it was really weird).
Anyways, there's not much to tell yet. Although with the recent attempted terrorist attack, I will probably have to be at the airport 6 hours in advanced and be patted down - that should be exciting. No worries; I'll be fine. Please pray for my safety as well as numerous other things such as not forgetting anything, my luggage arriving with me, and of course, not having total culture shock when I arrive in Madrid and start "speaking" Spanish.
This will definitely be an adventure. Keep you all posted.
¡Adiós!
Sarah
!Sarah! !!Ojalá que tengas un viaje seguro y te diviertas mucho mucho mucho!! Haha bueno :)
ReplyDeleteThis will be so cool Sarah keeping up on your adventures with this blog. I will miss you but I'm so excited for you and so proud of you.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck Sarah! Sounds like you will have a great host family. I remember how difficult it was packing for the summer in London. I believe both of my suitcases were over the limit when I came home and it was 75 lb. back then : ) Praying you have safe travels.
ReplyDeleteI am trying the blog again. If I can't get it to comment, at least I can follow what you are doing.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on packing. I can barely get under 50 pounds when I go for only two weeks.
